BULLETIN
No. 7/ 2006 (Issued 28 September
2006)
Hi All
As we approach our last three events PLUS one event to be rearranged (YSSCC – Round 1) the overall leader is now Howard Everingham with 157 points, whilst Steve Morten drops to second having missed the last round and David Goodlad scoring a maximum now puts him within stricking distance in a very close third. Fourth overall is Ian Chapman with 146 points, all the top four are now dropping scores having competed on 8 rounds.
In the classes, David Goodlad appears to be a runaway success in Class one, Class two is lead by Carl Sams but is still up for grabs with Lee Valentine not far behind. Another runaway is Howard Everingham in Class four and Steve Morten currently leading Class five, the best supported class, and the most closely contested and finally Duncan Wild leading the specials Class 6, although he needs to start one more event to qualify.
The last round, Ilkley & DMC, event at Rufforth was a little damp but had a very good entry, and certainly an improvement from last year – thank you all who entered making it the third best Championship entry this year out of the ten events that have run, in addition it had the third best overall entry.
I am now trying to secure events for 2007 and I hope that the interest in both organisers and registered contenders in 2006 can be continued into 2007, therefore before the last Round 14 ( Alwoodley MC – Rufforth) I will be sending the usual questionnaire – so please be thinking about the events.
Recently I noted
an error in the Championship groups Regulations under para 7. Awards – second
part 1st sentence DELETE
‘, with a minimum of 2 events from each of the A and B (see section 8)’. It
is also noted that we have had better support of the events than in recent years
10 registered competitors on each of the rounds and if you exclude
Sorry for repeating myself but please try and support the remaining events in order that the organisers will have the confidence and support to run them in 2007.
Please find on the reverse, a copy of the results to date, if anyone has any queries please contact me.
