ANCC AUTOTEST CHAMPIONSHIP 2006

Hi All

It goes to show that when I ask registered competitors to check the results/awards tables it pays to do this because no one is infallible, as it has proved to my cost.

I therefore apologise to Howard Everingham, and thank him, for pointing out the errors of my ways. When dropped scores come into play the system is that the lowest score is dropped and in Steve Mortens’ case I eliminated his next lowest score therefore his total eight event score should be 158. That creates a tie for the Overall Winner, between Howard Everingham and Steve Morten, and in such a case the person first scoring a higher score is declared the winner, as a result Steve Morten is the Overall Winner for the second consecutive year. At least Howard does not go away with empty hands he now receives 1^st in Class 4. Again I offer my apologies to both.

After the bad news there is some good news, in that in Class 5 Ian Chapman moves to 1^st I Class, his son Christopher moves to 2^nd in class and finally the good news is that after a good year Bob Sargeant takes the 3^rd in Class award.

Therefore the Amended Results for 2006 are: -

I hope there are no more mistakes but just goes to show when I ask these results to be checked it means just that and I thank those who have come forward.

Can I also remind those who have not responded to the Awards night questionnaire to reply accordingly - I know some have responded.

Finally can I remind all registered competitors to respond to the summary of events for 2006 and the proposals for 2007 – only two have responded so far. I have formulated the events for 2007 and would like to issue the Regulations before Christmas.
